Dubai, UAE - On March 8th, the 3rd annual Musivv Awards presented by Sennheiser in collaboration with The BarCoe Studio made history by honoring over 200 independent artists in a night of recognition, music, and visual presentations. This year's event was the first-ever live award ceremony of its kind, celebrating artists from diverse backgrounds and genres "For Artists By Artists".

Ryan Burr of Sennheiser Middle East hands over the Song of the Year Award.

The evening opened with a lights-out presentation that paid homage to the genesis of sound and light, followed by a mesmerizing performance by Nagham Debal, a Syrian musician, composer, and singer who is considered to be the first female Qanun player in the UAE. Her unique number was followed by RedX, an Emirati rapper. The two artists delivered a fusion of modern and classical cultures. The amazing visual technology of this year's venue partner, Theater of Digital Arts, highlighted the outstanding performances of both local and international guest artists who graced the momentous occasion. Ibby VK, a.k.a. the Ed Sheeran of Dubai, serenaded the crowd with his original music played live with just a guitar and a loop pedal. All the way from Singapore, Matilde G showcased her musical prowess with her chart-topping single, "Digging for Diamonds" while British-Emirati teen singer-songwriter and Musivv Ambassador Alya electrified the crowd with her vocal and dance performance. The night was closed by no less than Sandra Sahi, whose single "Bye Bye" bagged the Song of the Year award. These artists were also nominated in various categories, taking home prestigious recognitions.

The diversity, artistry, and hard work of all nominees challenged distinguished members of the jury, which consists of Grammy-level producers and music industry experts. Musivv Awards team members, contributors, and correspondents around the world were also invited to cast their votes through a secured link and submitted confidentially. The collected voting ballots were then sent to HMA Charter Auditors, Musivv Awards' auditing partner, for tallying and validation.

Heartfelt acceptance speeches delivered by Varsha Vinn and Case Vince, who were named Musivv Female and Male Artist of the Year respectively, left every one inspired. Other notable winners included ABRI for "Higher" as Emarati Artist of the Year, Lana Lubany for "The Snake" as Roots Artist of the Year, FREEK for "Samehni" as Homegrown Artists of the Year, and Sandra Sahi's "Bye Bye" as Song of the Year.
