Aiming to be a rockstar—with his soul filled with passion and unconditional electric energy—his route to enter the music industry would be the unconventional method many young musicians go through in the streaming era:

“I want people to listen to my music to feel, cry, indulge and simply immerse themselves in it,” he says.
VISH started making a name for himself in the Indian music scene, with his first band 'Awakening Souls' and eventually the UK creative scene, playing with his second band 'Rock Avenue' saying "without my bandmates and the journey I took with them, I wouldn’t be where I am today." He also cites bands like Alter Bridge, Breaking Benjamin and Creed as significant influences on his current work. This genre-busting alchemy was finally birthed by 'Oceans Apart' an original that took almost 2 years to make.
VISH’s debut, 'Oceans Apart' is a left turn, inspired by the deep complexities of distance and love. "Its interpretation can be confounded in the listener," says the singer—dedicating it to anyone who listens to it. The song is a melange of alternative rock and indie, influenced by his decade-long history of music.

When asked about the inspiration, the Dubai-based artist said, "The inspiration was to show a side of love and longing that hasn’t been heard before." There is a massive personal influence on the song, "It was born when I took one of the biggest decisions of my life to move to Dubai and part with the closest parts of my life. It’s about the shared bond between friends, family, partners, and the subsequent after-effect and turbulent changes in one’s heart and feelings."
On the development process, he said, "Originally, I and my best friend Aishwarya Ramesh penned the lyrics that later turned into a heart-wrenching song. I wanted it to have a very stripped-back, somber feel, but as we started to curate, I knew it had legs to go further. Then I fleshed it out more and built it up to make it feel fuller." During the lockdown, VISH and good friend/producer Mehdi Riaz were trying to find the balance between the two – and a few years later, boom! 'Oceans Apart' is ready for the world.
