LSL Mixer: Last Seen Live teams up with award-winning speakeasy, Hudson Tavern
Artist platform Last Seen Live (LSL) teams up with award-winning speakeasy, Hudson Tavern at Hyde Hotel Dubai

True to its brand promise of putting a spotlight on rising talents in the region, artist platform Last Seen Live (LSL) teams up with award-winning speakeasy, Hudson Tavern at Hyde Hotel Dubai for an evening of jazzy soulful vibes at “The Mixer”, happening bi-weekly every Wednesday at 9:00pm starting November 23.

Headlining “The Mixer” at Hudson Tavern is LSL’s exclusive Emirati-Palestinian recording artist Casa Vince, whose R&B beats blend both Western and Middle Eastern rhythms. This creative and experimental artist recently opened for singer-songwriter Faouzia. His love for music goes beyond self-expression. Growing up with a stutter, he shared that music was his cure and solace. His songs are suffused with a feeling of liberation, with danceable beats and lyrics sure to inspire and uplift his listeners.

Casa Vince’s velvety voice and soulful style combined with his music’s upbeat tunes make him the perfect headliner for “The Mixer’s” chill vibe. Rounding up this must-listen-to music line-up is Lebanese singer and songwriter Bea Kadri, a rising Pop R&B soulstress who has performed in events and festivals all over Beirut, Dubai, and London, including the Brit Awards with Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton as a member of their choir; soulful R&B band, The Tasty Biscuits; and DJ sets from Indian born Eora local Mister Mistry.

Master mixologist Tony Paul, meanwhile, caters to all preferences, with flavour notes ranging from sweet agave and cane sugar to bolder and bitter premium beverages. “We’re very excited to see this collaboration with Last Seen Live come to fruition and are also humbled that they have chosen Hyde as their home. We fully support their mission of promoting Dubai talent, which we believe is on a level with anything we’ve seen on the global stage. We can’t wait for them to use Hudson Tavern as their platform and we look forward to serving the music community our signature ‘Anything can happen’ hospitality spirit,” shared Luke James, General Manager of Hyde Hotel Dubai.

LSL: Bringing MENA Voices to the World Stage

LSL was founded by Pirlanta Toubba, a well-travelled creative with a long history in the region’s entertainment. Being born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Dubai, and with Turkish and Syrian roots, Pirlanta has a deep understanding of the MENA region and its transformation into a cultural and artistic hub.

“Last Seen Live is a passion project introduced through Phenomena, a film production house I established. While engaging with talents for Phenomena, this sparked an epiphany, that the representation of the MENA voices required a platform that allows them to bring their sound to the rest of the world. There was a huge gap in the music industry and a lot of talent that’s just waiting to be heard. That’s when the concept of LSL was born. When we say Dubai is an important force in the international music scene, it can’t just be because we’re an integral stop for music heavyweights. It should also be that we have a thriving local music scene that allows for aspirants to be discovered and showcased on the international stage. The Mixer is one of our efforts to contribute to that, but there will be more to come,” Pirlanta shared.

Today, LSL has evolved into a music agency whose advocacy is to empower the developing music scene in the UAE and regionally by building a bridge between alternative MENA music communities and global music industries.

Check out the best emerging voices of the region brought to you by Last Seen Live, providing reach to groundbreaking musicians and artists, who make the city what it is today. Using their elite network and experience in the field, LSL has delivered fully booked invite-only musical experiences for the likes of Dubai Design District (d3) and In5 Media.

"We wanted a space that endorses live music artists to perform their original music versus covers as most venues endorse the opposite," shares Pirlanta. "The launch was a breath of fresh air at least that’s how it was described by the guests - “we need more of these nights” was what most of our guests shared with us. It was an Invite-only and grateful to have had filled the space with friends, artists and industry but look forward to the one on the 23rd as it’s now open to all but RSVP & dress code is mandatory as limited capacity and overall experience for the night," she concludes.

Catch Casa Vince, and the phenomenal artists of LSL at “The Mixer” in Hudson Tavern located at Hyde Hotel Dubai. Timing is 9:00pm to 3:00am. Reservations are encouraged via this LINK. For more information, visit Hudson Tavern.
