Matilde G bags MIXER Artist of the Year at the 3rd Musivv Awards
Singapore-based Italian singer wins her first after two consecutive nominations.

The 17-year old singer secured the win over fellow nominees Raign, Doogie The Don, AUDSHINE, CMagic5, Hoosh, M A Y and Harris Hameed, all non-Middle Eastern artists that have been connected to Musivv one way or the other. This is Matilde G's second consecutive nomination.

The Italian singer, along with her mother, flew all the way from Singapore where she is currently based to perform her song “Digging for Diamonds”, the song she released in 2022 and was nominated for.

The results were kept confidential and were only revealed during the awards night. Matilde G was scheduled for a performance right after the announcement of the winner of the MIXER of the Year category. “I was so surprised to hear my name called out as the winner,” she shares to Musivvv. “I was preparing for my performance backstage and I was caught off guard,” she adds. Her performance became all the more special after her name was announced. Although she was unable to deliver a speech, she says she is grateful first and foremost to her parents who support her music career.

Her singles Digging For Diamonds (3 million views on YouTube), MilkN’Honey and Doorbell garnered tremendous support from not only Europe but also Asian countries, marking Matilde G’s entry as an international pop artist in Asia and the world. It is no coincidence that at the age of 17 she had the attention of the press as important as Billboard.

This year her songs have received 5 million streams  with up to 100,000 monthly listeners.

The 3rd Musivv Awards was held at the Theatre Of Digital Arts in Souk Madinat, Jumeirah Dubai and was attended by more than a hundred artists and music industry icons and was hosted by Derrick Best.
