Maurice Louca performs FERA at the Cultural Foundation Theater in Abu Dhabi with UAE Musicians
The Egyptian musician teams up with extraordinary UAE musicians for a colourful tangle of sounds resembling a steampunk synth band!

'FERA'  by Maurice Louca and UAE Musicians

Fera is Maurice Louca’s new long-form composition, with microtonal guitars, violins and Feral percussions, he picks up from where he left off in his latest record Saet El Hazz (The Luck Hour) while adding more synthesizers and electronic explorations this time around taking it more in the Acoustic/Electric realm, he will be joined by Lebanese Percussionist Khaled Yassine and Egyptian Violinist Ayman Asfour. For this very special collaboration with Cultural Foundation – Abu Dhabi in celebration of Abu Dhabi’s designation as "The City of Music" by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, Maurice will create a new rendition of this composition in collaboration with local Abu Dhabi musicians, an Emirati percussion ensemble and featured guest musicians from the South Asian community.

Following his concert with UAE Musicians, Maurice Louca will be facilitating an open workshop for students and musicians who attended the concert to discuss the creation and the process. Participants can also bring their own music for listening session, discussion, and advice.
