The success of her first single produced by Mr. Marcus, founder of musivv, set into motion the beginning of a new musical journey for Sherbeth Nicole, a singer-songwriter from the south of the Philippines currently based in Dubai. Get to know the voice behind 'This I Promise.'

How are you?
I am very well.‍

How did you get into music?
My both parents are actually into music. I started singing when I was 2 years old, then at the age of 10 my dad started to teach me how to play guitar. Music is my family's way of bonding together every weekend.

What was the very first song you wrote and what was it about?
The first song I wrote is entitled "Dreams" It was written on a summer break when I was in 8th Standard. The song was about a girl who wants to conquer the world using her voice as armor.

Who inspires you?
My parents are really the one who started to support me with my music. My Mom was the one coaching me when I joined singing competitions while my Dad introduced me to different genres of music where I could find the real tone of my voice.

Outside of the music space, what is one thing you do that keeps your mind relaxed?
I love baking! (but I don't eat sweets) *laugh* I worked as a Pastry Chef way back 2017 and I really enjoyed it, i love seeing the finished products I baked. (I have a tattoo in my left wrist "Chef")

If you were in a lift with your music idol, what would you say to him/her?
I will be thanking her (Taylor Swift) as she inspired me to write songs and to dream big. No matter how impossible it is, we never give up on our dreams and passion as dreaming keeps our hopes alive.

What is your biggest dream as a singer-songwriter?
My biggest dream is to share to people how I started and the process of getting here to where I am now. I want to encourage people to not give up on their passions and dreams because we really never know what is ahead of us. "Life is the climb, but the view is great."

Favourite song ever.
I tattooed the title of my favorite song in my right wrist with my own penmanship "Fearless" by Taylor Swift.

Your first public singing performance, take us through the experience.
I was actually in 1st Grade. Every year in school there is a singing competition. They found a representative already for our group as I never really bothered to join because I was a shy kid. Then few days before the competition while we were taking our lunch break, my advisor accidentally heard me sing and she was amazed that she decided to let me sing the intermission number for the program. That was my first public singing performance, then every year I started to join the competition.

The sky is the limit for this budding artist. This surely will not be her last.
