Singapore’s EDM veterans Inquisitive and Farah Farz produced their own version of timeless pop-rock anthem ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ with the addition of beautiful and bright vocals from Italian singer-songwriter Matilde G.

What vision did you have for your vocals on the DITM track?
I was very happy to cover this iconic song of the Toploader that after 12 years from its release is still unforgettable. I felt really free to sing in my own way because the original is a male voice, so I didn’t have any reference to follow. I sang it giving my best happy and joyful vibes and I hope people will love it as much I do.
What was it like being reached out to by Inquisitive and Farah Farz?
They reached out to me on Instagram and I was excited to collaborate with them! They are the best DJs in the city and they know how to make people dance and enjoy life. I feel honoured to be part of this project .

What was the collaboration like with the veteran DJs and Lucas from the Kennel?
He is so great!! Recording with him was so easy and I learned a lot from him. I feel lucky to be produced by The Kennel’s guys, they are veterans into the music industry but they never make me feel too young or inexperienced.

Matilde hopes to see this track being played in the future. "I have a dream! A new world without Covid abd masks, all the clubs and disco opened and people dancing happily in the moonlight!"
