It all started when he was bobbing his head listening to a 'Problèmes Du Matin' by the rapper Ninho. The song's swell sense of style, vibe, and the manner Ninho switched between flows captured model/rapper Skinny G. He praised the track as "energetic, pump-inducing and awe-inspiring" from which he hoped to get the same results as an inspiration for his latest single 'Ghazafi.'

"I came up with the melody first, as I do with the majority of my songs. As soon as I heard the beat, I began recording the melodies that came to mind, and as soon as I had it all, I finished writing up the lyrics and went to the studio to record it," he tells musivv.

Post-production was his favored part of the entire process. "New ideas always come to me when I start working on a song, whether in audio mixing or video editing." Experimentations with removing and adding extra elements to the tune put the song to a synergy of evolution to a full-blown project compared to the inception state of pure vocals on a beat.

Skinny G's new track is an assertive reminder—to anyone listening or not—that the rapper/model is unlike other rappers in the scene. "I can play with new styles of rap aside from the melodic ones I usually do," he contends. In the final bar of the song, Skinny G drops the bomb with the line "Am someone unique!" Which, after hearing the song, "The listener will surely realize," he concludes.
